Butte HEART is an organization that was formed out of concern for the people of Afghanistan and for all people who are fleeing violence and deprivation through no fault of their own. As an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, we have been blessed with an outpouring of support from volunteers in the form of time, expertise, money and other donations to help these people begin a new life in the United States.

We are excited to have now welcomed two Afghan families to Butte while working both independently and with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), one of nine organizations authorized by the US State Department to assist refugees. This was made possible by the generous people of Butte as well as a grant from the Schultz Family Foundation. Butte HEART hopes to offer our services to families from all over the world and is only able to do so with your support.

For those who are inspired and want to become more involved, there are options. To inquire about volunteer opportunities, call 406-782-3682 or email ButteHEART@gmail.com. Tax deductible cash donations are welcome and may be sent to Butte HEART at PO Box 394, Butte, MT 59703 or donate using the link below. Monetary donations go to supporting the families by offsetting housing expenses, translation services, childcare and more.
